“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.” (Matthew 7:7-8)
Dear Friend,
God wants to help you and empower your life with His ability!
Did you know that when you pray and ask God for help, He hears you and helps you?
There are many scriptures that tell us that God helps those who trust in Him. One example is in Psalm 34. It says, “I sought the LORD, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears.” (v. 4)
God loves it when we ask Him for help because it's a form of reliance upon Him, trusting Him, and humility. The Bible also tells us that God resists the proud, but He exalts the humble (James 4:6), and that no flesh will glory in His presence (1 Cor. 1:29).
When we ask God for help, He delights in our reliance upon Him and that we’re asking Him to show us the right way. When we ask God for help, He gets the glory for the amazing results in your life!
Every day, we’re faced with choices that require decisions. I don’t know about you, but I don’t always know the right choice. Many times, both paths can look like the right path. Some times, a path can look difficult, or scary because I can’t see how it ends. I ask myself, “What’s going to happen if I make this decision?"
How do we know which path to take in life and which choices are the “right” choices?
God delights in our choice to seek Him in times like these. The Holy Spirit within you is your compass, your life GPS system, and He will always lead you with peace. Holy Spirit will lead you with an inner “unction” or “knowing” that will show you the right path to take.
Frequently in life, I find that I’m standing before a fork in the road, presented with options and paths. I don’t have to blindly choose the path that I think is best. The past is proof that I don’t know what’s best for my life! Instead, I take time to pray and during this time I seek God. I ask Him for help, for wisdom, and that He would show me the right path to take. God doesn’t answer in an audible booming voice. His answer is within; the still small voice of peace.
After time of seeking God and asking Him for help and wisdom, He will always reveal the right path to you. His humble, quiet voice of peace from within your heart, will lead you to the right way.
“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.” (James 1:5)
Today, as a body of Christ standing before our humble Lord, let’s behold Him in awe of His goodness and mercy. In loving worship and adoration, let's humble ourselves before God and ask Him for help and wisdom.
The road He reveals to you may be narrow; it may be less popular than the wide path, but if you humble yourself and obey His direction, He will honor you and exalt you in ways that no man can. He will crown your life with every good thing.
In Awe of Him,
Erin
