You are Created for Greatness

February 05, 20244 min read

Dear Friend,

I would like to encourage you today with a short paragraph from my new Workbook:

“God created you to prosper, to do the impossible, and to accomplish greatness. Sometimes, our own human nature seems to be the worst judge of all and oftentimes, the harshest of critics.

Why is that?

If it were up to me, I would’ve sold myself short and settled for second best a long time ago. In fact, I tried to many times!

Can you think of a time that you allowed yourself to settle, too?

Looking back, there are many decisions I wish I would have made differently. Thankfully, God is the ultimate life redeemer!

Today is the day to believe in yourself and make new decisions that are going to accomplish the impossible in your life!

God didn’t create you for second best. He wants the utmost best for your life, whether you believe in yourself or not.

God is asking you to agree with Him today!

Begin agreeing with the way God sees you—the new you—and the desires He’s placing within you.

God only created you to succeed and do great things. And with Him, you will! When you can believe this, imagine it, and see it, then you will bring forth the things you’re hoping for.”

From Chapter 5 in my “Walking in the New You! Workbook.” This chapter is all about creating a Vision Dreamscape of your God-given calling and purpose. Available at newyouministries.com/store

Here's an example of my Vision Board!

vision board

Vision Boards have helped me to transform the image on the inside of me, so that I see myself and my life through God's eyes. I used to be skeptical of Vision Boards. I thought, why would God want all of these amazing things for my life?

According to Psalm 37:4, when we delight in the Lord, He will give us the desires within our heart. It goes on to say, “Commit your way unto the LORD; trust also in Him; and he shall bring it to pass.” (Psalms 37:5)

God wants us to delight in Him first. When we do, He places desires and vision within our hearts that will lead us to His perfect plan for our life. Then, we commit our way to Him every day, trusting Him to lead us and guide us. Before you know it, you are in the center of God's will for your life, doing what He's called you to do.

I never knew I could live in a constant state of peace, joy, and satisfaction, until I began to follow this principle every day:

  1. Delight in God

  2. Follow the desires in my heart

  3. Commit my life and my actions to Him every day

  4. Trust Him with every decision

  5. God brings forth His good and perfect will in my life

Relationship with God crowns your life with good things - it blesses you in ways that you could never even imagine! Why? Because God is good, and He wants His children to be so blessed that it causes others to recognize His goodness and turn to God!

Like I said, I used to be very skeptical of Vision Boards. It felt vain and selfish. Reluctantly, I tried one several years ago. They not only changed the image of myself on the inside, but they aligned my life with what God wanted for me: healing, prosperity, deliverance, and for all my dreams to come to pass. God put those desires in my heart, because that is what He wanted for my life!

Last year alone, I accomplished over five things on my Vision Board!

great

If you don't have a positive dream for your future today, start by delighting in God and spending time with Him. Follow the simple steps I provided above, and ask God to show you His plans for your life. Then, create a Vision Board by putting these images onto a canvas. You can include scriptures, pictures, magazine cutouts, or quotes that inspire you. Look at your Vision Board frequently and ask God to lead you to His purpose for your life.

Decide in your heart to believe God today, and to delight in His goodness. God has good plans for your life, and they specifically align with the dreams in your heart.

“Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.” (Romans 15:13)

Praying with you and for you.

Love,
Erin
