Dear Friend,

Did you know that when you believe in Jesus Christ, you become an entirely new creation?

The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:17, Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

When you made Jesus the Lord of your life, you got born again, which means that God gave you a new spirit. Your spirit became identical to Jesus Christ, and now you are identical to Him in your spirit. This changes everything about your identity! Praise Jesus!

Guess what?

This means that you can live from the truth about who you are in Christ (in your spirit) instead of the way you feel in your emotions and physical body. Living by this simple truth can transform every area of your life.

I used to identify as a lot of things...addicted, anxious, sad, poor, overweight, unhealthy, ugly, depressed, ashamed, guilty, condemned.

Now that I know the truth about who I am in Christ and who He is in me, I identify with the true me, the new me, and I am completely set free from all of those old identities!

This is what I call, living from the inside out!

When you live your life from these empowering truths, the power of God will flow from your spirit into your soul (your mind, will, and emotions), and they will impact your body, career, finances, relationships, your marriage, and your family. It can touch and transform every area of your life.

That's why faith is so important. That's why believing in Jesus Christ is so important. Yes, it's so that you can become born again, go to heaven when you die, and live in eternal life with the Lord. But, it's also so you can experience relationship with God now, and God's good and perfect will for your life on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10).

This is God's plan and purpose for all of mankind since the beginning of creation, but sin stopped that from happening. Which is why God sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to become a man, live a holy life, and die for the sin of the world, so we could be made right with God, and live a supernatural life with Him on earth.

For he says, “In a favorable time I listened to you, and in a day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the favorable time; behold, now is the day of salvation. (2 Corinthians 6:2 ESV)

Today is the day of salvation! Salvation through Jesus Christ is much more than eternal life in heaven after death. It means peace with God, relationship with Him, plus all the promises laid out in the Bible, like physical health and healing, prosperity, deliverance from bondage, love, joy, and freedom of every kind.

Becoming born again is important, but it will not affect your life if you don't know the truth about who you are in Christ and how to apply it to your everyday life. The only way to discover these truths is through the Word of God (the Bible). The Bible is your new mirror and it will train you and teach you about who you are in Christ.

But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. [23] For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. [24] For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. [25] But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing. (James 1:22-25 ESV)

By relying on my new mirror in God's Word, I have discovered the transforming power of my new, born again identity in Christ! God taught me how to apply the Bible to every area of my life and it set me free, transformed my life, and empowered me to fulfill my destiny.
