Strengthened With Might

November 04, 20245 min read

“Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;” (Colossians 1:11, KJV)

Dear Friends,

God is looking for people to show Himself strong through! He's looking for people like you to be strengthened with His power and might!

How do we live a life that’s strengthened with God’s might?

Surrender.

We are strengthened with God's might when we surrender every area of our life to God, and that includes our daily lifestyle.

Why is this important?

The more we surrender our life, our beliefs, our actions, and our thinking to align our life with the Bible, the more God is glorified by our lives, and we become usable for His Kingdom (Rom. 12:1-2).

Jesus tells us in John 15, “I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5, ESV)

We can't live a life that glorifies God if we are living to please ourselves. We have to surrender our will and live according to God's will. The only way to do that is through an intimate, personal relationship with God through the Word and the Spirit (John 4:24).

For example, I loved God when I was a drug addict, and I even read my Bible! But my life wasn’t a good testimony of God’s goodness, faithfulness, and mercy to the world around me. Why? Because I was living the way I wanted to live instead of the way God wanted me to live.

God has given us the Bible so that we can read it and align our lives with its truths.

The Bible is our manual, our blueprint, our instruction to live a long, healthy life on the earth. “My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments, for length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you.” (Proverbs 3:1-2, ESV)

Aligning your life with Scripture will bring you a long life that's full of peace and joy.

We aren’t Christians so that we can stay where we are and look like the rest of the world (lead by fear, doubt, panic, anxiety, chaos, lust, pride, and the list goes on).

We are Christians so that we can become disciples of Jesus Christ and look more like Him to a lost and hurting world. We become more like Jesus by continuing in the Word of God until it sets us free (John 8:31-32). Then, we can touch the world with the love and truth of God so they can be set free too.

I’m so glad that God rescued me from myself; rescued me from self-will, pride, and self-inflicted bondage. These things were and are always a result of spiritual ignorance. God rescued me from depression and anxiety and fear because I finally surrendered.

When we surrender, we find Him. And when we find Him, we discover a life worth living; a life overflowing with God's love, acceptance, and freedom.

When we lose our life to Christ, we find life that God always intended for us to have.

When I fully surrendered every area of my life to God and began to live in a way that glorified Him in everything I did…that’s when I truly discovered the strength of God within me and the transforming power of the gospel of Jesus Christ my Lord.

We discover God's will by reading the Bible. Feast on His Word daily, pray in tongues, and seek Him above all else so you know which areas of your life He's leading you to surrender.

Don’t wait another day to discover the freedom, the strength, and the life of Christ in every area of your life!

This will equip you with wisdom and understanding to replace YOUR will with His will, and be strengthened with God’s might in your health, finances, and relationships!

At New You Ministries, we're passionate about applying Scriptural wisdom to our lifestyle, because when we're glorifying God in every area of our life, then we have supernatural synergy to fulfill our God-given destiny!

You CAN glorify the Lord in your faith, finances, health, and wellness!

“Have you forgotten that your body is now the sacred temple of the Spirit of Holiness, who lives in you? You don’t belong to yourself any longer, for the gift of God, the Holy Spirit, lives inside your sanctuary. You were God’s expensive purchase, paid for with tears of blood, so by all means, then, use your body to bring glory to God!” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20, TPT)
