Hope is an Anchor

May 20, 20244 min read

“We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain,” (Hebrews 6:19)

Dear Friend,

I trust that Spring has brought a new sense of purpose and hope to your life!

There have been a lot of exciting things happening here in Woodland Park, Colorado.

As many of you know, my husband and I work at Andrew Wommack Ministries. It’s so exciting to be part of a ministry that is sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with people around the world. The ministry is in the midst of a lot of growth, building projects, and starting a new television network. As you can imagine, it's been a full season, but we love it! It feels like we are in the center of a great move of God!

I’m also excited to let you know that God has opened a door for me to begin leading Bible studies at a local sober-living home for women. This is something close to my heart, since I have lived at a couple of these homes in the past. These homes helped me to transition out of drug addiction, and learn the tools necessary to being a successful adult and member of society. Praise God!

In other news, Greg and I have been busy filming for the New You Fitness Journey membership on our website. It’s up and running, and we will continue to add more videos every week. So far, we have 3 months worth of workouts added (12 exercise videos) plus an Introduction and my Keys for Health Success videos!

This is going to be a great tool that will help you to learn the basics of fitness, build your muscular strength, and advance your current fitness level. And we are making it available for only $10 a month, and you can cancel anytime. If you want to check it out, you can watch this short preview here!

I’m so encouraged by God and His love towards us.

God has good plans for each one of our lives. All we have to do is believe this in our heart, and never give up.

Life has a tendency to be hard on you. It comes with disappointments and hardships, but in the midst of it all, God is faithful, and He is able to lead our lives to the good plans that He has for us.

For thousands of years, God has been faithful to help those who call out to Him. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Heb. 13:8). The same God who helped me and saved my life from drug addiction is the same God who helped Abraham, Isaac, Joseph, David, and all the other people in the Bible. God is the same faithful, limitless God who is here to help you today.

A believing heart is the key to seeing amazing transformation in your life.

Believe that God is good, His Word is true, and never let go of this hope within your heart. This hope can lead your life from despair and destruction, to a life that is shimmering with the love, beauty, and the goodness of God.

“My son, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Let them not escape from your sight; keep them within your heart. For they are life to those who find them, and healing to all their flesh.” (Proverbs 4:20-22)

God and His Word provide hope, true life, and healing to every area of our life. If we can keep our eyes, our heart, and our hope in God (especially in the midst of the ups and downs of life), then you will look back one day, and be so glad that you did.

I can’t tell you how many times I wanted to give up, turn back, and stop fighting. Sometimes it looked like there was only darkness in front of me. But there was hope on the inside that told me, “keep going, keep fighting, I AM here with you."

Hope is an anchor for your soul (Heb. 6:19), and it can only be found in God. Keep your hope in God today, and let it guide you to wholeness and restoration in every area of your life. On the other side is God’s amazing plans and purpose for your life!

“And we desire each one of you to show the same earnestness to have the full assurance of hope until the end, so that you may not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.” (Hebrews 6:11-12)

I pray that you would know how much God loves you and how great His plans are for your life!

With Love,
Erin
